By using HalalNomad ("the App"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Use of the App
HalalNomad is a community-powered platform for discovering Halal food worldwide. You may use the App to browse, search, add, verify, and review Halal places. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
2. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. User-Generated Content
When you add places, write reviews, upload photos, or submit verifications, you grant HalalNomad a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use that content within the App and related marketing materials.
You agree that your contributions:
- Are accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge
- Do not contain false, misleading, or malicious information
- Do not infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights
- Do not contain offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content
- Do not constitute spam or commercial advertising
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms without notice.
4. Community Guidelines
HalalNomad relies on honest community contributions. You agree to:
- Report places accurately — do not submit false verifications or reports
- Respect other contributors — do not harass, abuse, or impersonate others
- Not manipulate the points or verification system
- Not use automated tools to scrape data or submit content
Violation of these guidelines may result in account suspension or termination.
5. Halal Verification Disclaimer
HalalNomad provides community-sourced information about Halal food options. We do not independently verify or certify any establishment's Halal status. Verification levels and confidence scores are based on user reports and should be used as a guide, not a guarantee. Always verify Halal status directly with the establishment when dining.
6. Subscriptions
HalalNomad offers optional premium subscriptions ("HalalNomad Premium") with additional features. By subscribing:
- Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's account settings
- No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods
- Prices may vary by region and are displayed in your local currency at the time of purchase
7. Intellectual Property
The HalalNomad name, logo, design, and codebase are owned by HalalNomad. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
HalalNomad is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for:
- The accuracy of community-submitted information
- Any adverse effects from dining at establishments listed in the App
- Service interruptions, data loss, or technical issues
- Actions of other users
In no event shall HalalNomad's total liability exceed the amount you paid for the App in the preceding 12 months.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting naeemsani95@gmail.com.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Singapore.
